Smart Power Boards

Smart power boards offer convenient on/off automation, remote control through the SIMI Smart app, and built-in USB chargers for added functionality. They help reduce energy waste by allowing you to schedule or remotely switch off devices when not in use, making them ideal for managing appliances, residential and business setups and shared equipment efficiently.

Once set up with the SIMI Smart app, you can control each plug from your screen or phone, or set it up with Alexa or Google Assistant to control with your voice.  For your convenience, schedule devices to turn on or off automatically so they are ready to go when you are!

 

Setting Up Your

Wi-Fi Power Boards

Adding Your Power Board (Auto-Detected Setup)

1. Plug in your Smart Power Board

  • Make sure the indicator light is blinking fast (pairing mode).
  • Not blinking? Hold the main power button for 5 seconds.

 

2. Open your SIMI Smart App

  • Launch the SIMI Smart App on your screen or phone
  • Tap on the + symbol to add the device

 

3.   Add the Device

  • A pop up will appear: “Discovering Devices”
  • Tap Add
  • Confirm your Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), and follow the prompts.

 

4. Choose a Room

  • When prompted, select a room (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom)
  • Or create a new room to keep things organised.

 

5. Name Your Device

  • Example: “TV Power Board”
  • You can also name each outlet individually (e.g., “Lamp”, “Speaker”).

✅ Your Smart Power Board is now connected, organised by room, and ready to use!

Setting Up Your

Zigbee Power Boards

Adding Your Power Board (Auto-Detected Setup)

1. Set up your Zigbee Gateway

  • Ensure the Zigbee gateway is plugged in and powered on.
  • Confirm that the gateway is connected to your modem and properly paired with the SIMI Smart app.


2. Plug in your Zigbee Power Board

  • Make sure the indicator light on the power board is blinking fast (pairing mode).
  • Not blinking? Hold the main power button for 5 seconds.


3. Open your SIMI Smart App

  • Select your Zigbee Gateway from the app.
  • Tap Add Subdevice, then follow the prompts to add the power board.


4. Choose a Room (Optional)

  • When prompted, select a room (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom).
  • Or create a new room to keep things organised.


5. Name Your Device

  • Example: “TV Power Board.”
  • You can also name each outlet individually (e.g., “Lamp,” “Speaker”).

Key Features & Controls Using Your

Power Boards & SIMI Smart App

🔘 ALL ON / ALL OFF

  • Press on the power board in your SIMI Smart Aop
  • Tap the power button on the top to turn all outlets and USB ports ON or OFF.
  • Or control each outlet individually via icons on the device screen.

🕒 Timer & Schedule

  • Tap the clock under the name of each outlet to set automatic ON/OFF times for that outlet.
  • Great for energy saving and convenience.

🔁 Device Reset

  • To reset the power board, press and hold the main control button for 5 seconds (not longer than 10).
  • Follow the instructions above to reconnect

⚡ USB Charging

  • Plug into the USB-A or USB-C port.
  • Turn it on by:
     – Using the SIMI Smart app.

Useful Information

All Power Boards

  • Make sure you are connected to a 2.4ghz wi-fi network to install and operate your wi-fi smart devices & your Zigbee gateway. They do not work on 5ghz networks.  
  • For Zigbee devices, make sure the Zigbee gateway is always connected to the modem and powered on to control the boards via the SIMI Smart App
  • Make sure the devices plugged into the power board are always turned on at the appliance switch. Use the app to switch them on or off
  • Please ensure the smart power board is not overloaded. If overloaded, the thermal overload switch will be triggered. Reset the switch when necessary.
Working power cannot be higher than the rated current (2400W).
  • If the smart power board is used to operate appliances intended for supervised use (eg heater), ensure the appliance operations are followed as to its instructions. Do not allow any cables, furnishings, flammable materials or other items to come in contact with any surface of a heater.

Troubleshooting your

Not pairing?

  • Hold the main button 5 seconds until light blinks fast.
  • Move the Wi-Fi board closer to the Wi-Fi router.
  • Move the Zigbee board closer to the Zigbee gateway
  • Ensure the Zigbee network is properly set up and your mobile device is within range.
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct and the same as the network used on your mobile device.
  • Check that your internet connection is working

 

Not showing in app?

  • Check your phone is on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with Bluetooth enabled.
  • Ensure the Zigbee gateway is connected to the modem and plugged into power.
  • Ensure the Zigbee network is connected to the SIMI Smart app.
