We recommend setting aside approximately 10 minutes to complete the application process, provided you have all the necessary information ready. One of our representatives will  complete your application with you over the phone, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. Please make sure to have all the required information at hand before the call to maximise the use of your time.

Information required in order to submit an application include:

  • ABN
  • Latest financial year figures including sales revenue and export revenue as reported in your BAS, R&D expenditure & taxable income.
  • Signed Landlord Consent Letter
  • Number of employees
  • Number of independent contractors
  • Details of primary contact, including email, contact number & address

Applications for the grant close on Monday 8 April 2024, at 5:00pm AEST.  Round 1 successful applicants were announced by the government 3 months after closing in 2023.  We anticipate that there will be a similar timeline for this round.  SIMI will notify you as soon as announcements are made.

Grant funds for successful applications will be used to purchase and install the SIMI intelligence System and other eligible activities as outlined in the offer which can viewed by clicking the link above.

The SIMI Intelligence System includes our 32 Inch Intelligence Hub. Up to 50  energy efficient devices such as power sockets, light switches, energy and monitoring sensors.  Installation and Configuration of your Simi Intelligence System.

SIMI plans to begin the rollout of their energy efficiency packages in the second half of 2024, after successful applicants have been announced.

Should your application be unsuccessful, SIMI remains eager to explore the possibility of implementing a SIMI system at your location. In such cases, SIMI is pleased to extend an exclusive package offer to all applicants, enabling you to take advantage of the SIMI system’s benefits at a special rate.

The grant opportunity provides eligible small and medium businesses up to $25,000 to purchase energy efficient equipment to reduce and manage energy usage and costs.  

Successful applicants can upgrade or replace inefficient equipment and implement other energy efficiency activities.  Program objectives include:   

  • improving energy efficiency practices
  • increasing awareness and uptake of energy efficient technologies
  • assisting small and medium businesses to manage their energy usage and costs
  • reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Applications for the grant open on the 22nd of February and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Given the high demand and limited availability of funds, the grant is expected to be exhausted quickly. To maximise your chances of securing the grant, we strongly advise contacting us to complete your application prior to the opening date.  SIMI will submit your application on your behalf as soon as the portal allows.
