Two Flexible Funding Models to Suit Every Building
Flexible Funding
Make your venues and screens work for you. Choose the model that fits your building’s structure and goals — whether you prefer to fund it upfront or partner with an investor, SIMI makes participation simple, transparent, and rewarding.
Choose how you want to get started
Whether your building wants to fund the installation or partner with an investor, SIMI offers flexible pathways to join the network.
Each model is transparent, scalable, and designed so every participant — from the Owners Corporation to our media partners — shares in the long-term success.
OPTION 1 - Owners Corporation Funded
Recover your cost fast and keep more of the ongoing revenue.
The Owners Corporation covers the one-time installation cost (around $2,500). Ad revenue first repays the OC’s outlay, and then ongoing earnings are distributed between: SIMI (Software, Network, Support & Analytics) , Ad Agencies (Managing and delivering campaigns) Owners Corporation (the building's ongoing share) Third-Party Funder (If involved in partial financing)
This model suits OCs seeking control, transparency, and stronger long-term yield.
All models include installation, SIMI Digital software, and ongoing reporting. Revenue splits are determined transparently with full proof-of-play tracking for every campaign.
OPTION 2 - Third Party Funded (No Upfront Cost)
No upfront cost. Shared long-term returns.
Here, a third-party funder (such as an investor, Strata Manager, or partner) covers the installation and setup costs. Advertising revenue is first used to repay the funder’s costs, after which income is distributed between: SIMI (Software, Network, Support & Analytics), Ad Agencies (Managing and delivering Campaigns), Owners Corporation (the buildings revenue share, and Third Party Funder (depending on their continuing participation.
This approach is ideal for buildings that prefer not to allocate capital upfront but still wish to participate in ongoing advertising income.
All models include installation, SIMI Digital software, and ongoing reporting. Revenue splits are determined transparently with full proof-of-play tracking for every campaign.
Funding & Revenue FAQ's
Who pays for the hardware, software, and installation?
There are two main options. The Owners Corporation can fund the installation upfront (around $2,500 per screen), or a Third-Party Funder such as a Strata Manager, investor, or partner can cover the setup at no upfront cost. In both cases, the costs are recovered from future advertising revenue before profit sharing begins.
How is the advertising revenue shared?
After any setup costs are repaid, ad revenue is distributed between all active participants, typically including SIMI (software, network, analytics), Ad Agencies (who manage and deliver campaigns), the Owners Corporation, and any Third-Party Funder (if applicable).
All revenue splits are transparent and trackable via SIMI’s real-time Proof-of-Play reporting and Analytics.
How does the Owners Corporation benefit financially?
Once installation costs are repaid, the Owners Corporation continues to receive an agreed share of the ongoing ad revenue from the screens. This revenue can help offset building costs or fund community projects.
SIMI is responsible for software performance and remote support. However, issues caused by power, internet outages, or physical damage fall under the building manager’s responsibility, and any non-warranty repairs or call-outs are quoted at the time and billed accordingly.
What if our Owners Corporation doesn’t want to pay upfront?
That’s completely fine. A Third-Party Funder such as a Strata Manager, investor, or strategic partner can cover the installation and setup costs instead.
The funder’s share of revenue is paid first until their contribution is recovered, after which the standard revenue-sharing model applies.
This approach suits Owners Corporations that prefer not to allocate capital upfront while still participating in long-term advertising revenue.
Can we advertise our own businesses or community updates?
Yes. Internal campaigns (such as OC messages, community updates, or resident promotions) are included with your annual subscription — which is deducted from ad revenue, not paid separately.
If you want to promote across other buildings or venues on the SIMI network, paid external advertising options are available at discounted internal rates.
Who manages the advertising campaigns?
SIMI works with approved ad agencies and programmatic partners to manage, deliver, and optimise campaigns.
You’ll still have full control: the SIMI platform allows your OC or building manager to filter or restrict advertisers by category during setup, ensuring all displayed content aligns with your building’s preferences.
When do we start earning revenue?
Once installation is complete and your screens are connected to the SIMI network, your building starts earning as soon as campaigns are live.
Earnings depend on ad demand, screen location, and audience reach — all visible in your reporting dashboard.
What ongoing support and maintenance is provided?
SIMI provides software management, updates, analytics, and remote monitoring.
If any physical hardware issues arise outside of manufacturer warranty (e.g., damage, power issues, or network failures), they are quoted and serviced on request.
We aim to keep the system running smoothly while maintaining a clear division of responsibilities with the building manager.
Can I control multiple screens across different locations with Simi?
Yes, download Simi Digital to any phone or device to manage multiple screens across various venues globally. From a single dashboard, you can upload content, update schedules, and monitor performance for all connected displays.
