Creating a Scene: PIR Sensor + Smart Light Switch

To automate your lights using the PIR motion sensor, you’ll need to create a scene in the SIMI Smart app. A scene allows one device (like the motion sensor) to trigger another device (like a light switch).

How to Create a Motion-Triggered Light Scene

1. Open the SIMI Smart App
   Launch the SIMI Smart app and make sure both your motion sensor and smart light switch are already connected.
2. Go to the Scene Section
3. Tap Scene at the bottom of the screen.
   • Tap the + icon in the top-right corner to create a new scene.
4. Set the Condition (IF)
   Tap “When device status changes”.
   • Select your PIR Motion Sensor.
   • Choose “Motion Detected” as the trigger.
   • Tap Next.
5. Set the Action (THEN)
   Tap “Run the device”.
   • Choose your Smart Light Switch.
   • Select the switch action (e.g. Turn On).
   • Tap Next.
6. Optional: Add Conditions
   You can limit the scene to run only during certain times (e.g. at night).
   • Tap Effective Period and select specific days or time ranges if needed.
7. Save the Scene
   Name your scene (e.g. “Motion Lights On”).
   • Tap Save to activate it.

✅ Your smart light will now turn on automatically whenever motion is detected by the PIR sensor!  Don’t forget to also set a scene to switch the smart light off after a specified amount of time.
